Ball Stop Nets Twisted Knotless

Ball Stop Nets Twisted Knotless

What is the Twisted Type Knotless “MUKETSU” Net?

The Twisted Type Knotless “MUKETSU” net is made from twisted twine composed of two strands. Each strand runs through the other twine to form meshes without knots.

“MUKETSU” nets offer several advantages compared to Raschel nets:

  1. Balanced Strength: The strength in both vertical and horizontal directions is almost equal. Raschel nets are weaker horizontally (only about 65–85% of their vertical strength), making them less stable.
  2. Better Durability: If a single yarn in a Raschel net wears out, it can cause continuous breakage because of its knitted structure. This is not the case with MUKETSU nets, as multiple yarns are twisted into each mesh.
  3. Lightweight: MUKETSU nets weigh less than Raschel nets, allowing more net to be transported and handled efficiently.

Advantages Compared with English Knotted Nets

  1. Less weight and bulk
  2. Higher strength
  3. Less resistance in water
  4. Easier to handle (less friction)
  5. Requires less labour and smaller tackle
  6. No wearing away of knots
  7. No damage to the catch
  8. Constant mesh size
  9. Easy to dye
  10. Less liable to fouling
